KANE — Shirley E. James, of 107 Edgar James Avenue, Kane, PA, passed away on December 12, 2022. Shirley was born on January 8, 1931, in Sheffield, PA, to the late John and Vera Champion Evan. On December 27, 1952, in Warren, PA, she married her beloved partner, Edgar D. James, who preceded her in loss of life on January 7, 2001.

A 1949 graduate of Warren Substantial Faculty, tunes was a wonderful component of Shirley’s life. At the age of 14, she grew to become the organist for her family’s rollerskating rinks in Warren, Sheffield, BradFord, PA, and the summer time rink at Cuba Lake, NY. At the age of 15, Shirley was highlighted in Skate Magazine as the youngest roller-skating rink organist in the country. Later on she taught organ classes in her dwelling to quite a few students.

In 1980 the relatives bought the Temple Theater creating, and after two yrs of renovations, “Shirley’s Temple” opened for family members roller skating. Shirley is survived by her son, Edgar D. (Tamie) James, Jr., a few daughters, Becky (Bryant) Lucia, Kathy (Jerry) DeSio, and Laurie Farnsworth (Rick Younger, Jr.) just one sister, Doris Hungiville, and one particular sister-in-legislation, Diane Evan. Also, her cherished grandchildren, Tonia (Dean) Kaufman, Travis (Allison) Asel, Trisha (Brian) Wright, Tessa (Tom) Boschert, Jessica (Matt) James-McGuire, Amanda (Chris) DeSio-Whitehouse, Allie (Alex) Fadenholz, Joe (Cher) Farnsworth, Kasey (Mike) Dales, and stage granddaughter, Jocelyn Lucia. Also surviving are her valuable good-grandchildren, Raisa, whom took these kinds of exclusive and light treatment of her “Big Nana”, Rainee, Rosstan, Raegan, Trevor, Tysin, Terin, Mackenzie, Edgar, Elle, Addison, Jack, Ben, Sam, Aria, Stella, Natalie, Landen, Blake, and stage terrific grandchildren, Ryton, Camille, Nic and Rose.

Close friends will be obtained at the Cummings Funeral Property on Saturday (Dec. 17) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral support will abide by at 1:00 with Cherie Booth, niece of Shirley, officiating. Burial will comply with in Forest Garden Cemetery.
