Video Game Release Dates: The Biggest Games of April 2023 and Beyond

It’s already April, so we’ve shifted to the second quarter of 2023 game releases. It’s been a busy year already, with releases like the Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remakes, as well as new games like Hogwarts Legacy. Plenty more mega-releases are planned for the remainder of the year, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Spider-Man 2, and Starfield. In other words, whether you do your gaming on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and/or PC, you have plenty to look forward to.

The following list is divided by platform; you can jump to your favorite one using the shortcuts below. And if you’re someone who likes to preorder, you can click the buy link to make sure it arrives on launch day.

Upcoming PS4 and PS5 Games

PlayStation owners certainly have plenty of options when looking to pick up a new game in April. Despite the PS5 finally being readily available, anyone still rocking a PS4 can finally play Hogwarts Legacy this month. Resident Evil 4 remake gets its Mercenaries mode as free DLC on the 7th. Speaking of DLC, Horizon: Forbidden West gets its Burning Shores DLC on the 19th. But for my money, this month’s most exciting PlayStation release is Star Wars Jedi Survivor, on the 28th.

Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games

Switch owners don’t have quite as many big releases to look forward to this month, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have anything to play. Minecraft Legends comes to the system on the 18th, followed soon after by Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp on the 21st.
