No Metroid surprises this week… Probably.
Coming hot off the heels of a thrilling Nintendo Direct with announcement after announcement, as well as a surprise Metroid Prime Remastered release, what can we expect on the Nintendo Switch this week? What games will join the ever-growing Nintendo eShop library?
It’s not a week of big releases on Nintendo Switch, sadly, though there are some notable new games coming out over the next few days. There’s even a big update coming to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with the Expansion Pass Wave 3. The latest wave of content for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will bring a new Challenge Battle mode, a new character with new quests, and new character outfits. Should be enough to tide players over until Wave 4 brings a new story and cast later this year.
Kids and adults alike looking for a new kart racer without the mustachioed plumber should look no further than Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart. After playing Mario Kart 8 on repeat for years, players will no doubt find the change of scenery refreshing, though there may be questions on the game’s quality. To be fair, developer 3D Clouds has produced a surprisingly competent licensed kart racer before with Race With Ryan, a guilty pleasure of this keyboard tapper.
There’s plenty more to get stuck into across a range of genres. In fact, it’s a chocka week for new releases with over a couple of dozen games hitting the eShop. If you still can’t find anything from the new batch, there are always the ongoing sales providing some cheap and cheerful entertainment.
