Notify.me offers the delivery of RSS feed updates via SMS, Email, IM, and a Desktop Application. You can control your feeds (called sources), destinations, account settings, and view your history through the web interface. You can add sources by entering RSS Feed addresses directly or have the notify.me interface guide you through sources based on popular sites.
RSS for the non-techie
I recently set this up for my wife to be able to get updates from her friends' blogs. When they update, she gets an email, often within minutes. There would be no way I could get her to use an RSS reader. Before notify.me, she was checking manually on some interval. Now, she sits back and waits for the email.
As the techie, I enjoy notify.me for the time sensitive feeds. An example would be when I am looking for a new Blackberry on Craigslist. I get new posts within minutes delivered to my email and IM so I can pounce on a deal.
One thing I would suggest is that they fix the email notifications. Right now they are pretty ugly and I would actually prefer plain text to what they send.
