I'd be glad to post it up for everyone. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I've got some wedding pictures to process this weekend so I'll try to search on my breaks. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Ok good news/bad news time.
Bad news: I didn't have the Amplified Bible in an SQL Server or Access DB.
Good news: I've got it in an Excel file with a tab for each book.
It's just a matter of creatively importing each book into a RDBMS.
Hope this helps:

I have XML format bible for:
AMP
CEV
ESV
KJV
Message
NASB
NIV
NLT
NRSV
NKJV
MKJV
If you're interested in these.
Also, if you could convert them into mySQL, or provide a script which would do this. I would be grateful, because I haven't found a fast way to work with them using php.
Not an SQL dump, but a good web service for the ESV:

Just a general note: just because you possess a copy of a Bible translation in a particular format does not necessarily mean you have permission to redistribute that file. Most modern translations are copyrighted - please read and honour their usage instructions. Many publishers are quite generous in how you can use their text.
Hi there, saw your list there and would be interested in coming up with a sql version you could use to dump into MySQL as this is what I'm looking to do as well. Could you get me the XML version of your NIV translation to start?
Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi twigaG,
Can you please send me the XML formats for the bibles? This would really help me out. If you still need a SQL conversion, please let me know.

If you are looking for the NIV or other popular modern translation or transliteration they are copyrighted works. If you want the whole thing you'll need to contact the publisher. The NET bible is available to use as is are translations now in the public domain (older english ones like KJV and ASV).
Hi,
If you have the XML bible format, I wouldn't mind turning it into mysql. I have an efficient script that can do it. I know this post is quite old, but if there are any other methods of getting a sql dump of the bible, besides biblesql.net, please let me know.
Thanks!
Michael
I got a request recently to build a web page where users can create their own reading plans that others can use as well. I understand the whole copyright problem, and I'm somewhat frustrated by that since NIV posts their bible on their web site almost like they're dangling it in front of you. Oh well, if I could just get the XML and/or SQL versions of several translations to play with that'd be good. I'd definitely like to have at least NIV, Message, and ESV if possible.
http://www.biblesql.net/ offers the King James bible - but I was hoping to find an NASB or AMP version of the bible that I can use on my own site for research. I need a MySQL/SLite/SQL/etc. dump of the bible that I can put into a database. Of cource, if I had a txt version I could use some regex to do it also.
Does anyone know where (or if) I can get a copy of those bibles? Even if I have to pay it would be worth it.
