A couple weeks ago, I decided to add a gallery to christianindieforums.com, and went with Coppermine because that's the only one that could be integrated with SMF, and I was pretty familiar with doing that... However, I soon learned that it lacked several features I wanted, so I looked into integrating Gallery with SMF. This turned out to be a tough task due to the way Gallery 1.5 is set up. However, Gallery 2 includes a file called "embed.php" and a "GalleryEmbed" class, both of which make integration quite simple. So, I messed around some, and got some stuff working. It's nowhere near complete at the moment (not sure how much is working and how much isn't), but it's getting there slowly. Let me know what you think... http://smf.oldiesmann.us/galleryproject/index.php (gallery is at http://smf.oldiesmann.us/galleryproject/in...?action=gallery - you'll get a better experience out of it if you're a member).
Current changes/to-do list:
Split main ShowGallery function into several others to make things a bit nicer
Look into integrating SMF's session info
Create a customized theme for the project that will allow Gallery to match any SMF theme
Possibly add some functions to SSI.php for various things (image block, user galleries, etc.)
Convince those using phpBB and Gallery2 to switch to SMF /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
