Sorry Tony. I can only suggest looking for a newer version of Open Office. From what you say it does sound like a bug in the newer version. If you don't own Flash or other swf software, I don't have any other solutions.

Thanks! I put OPenOffice on a different machine, it may have been a slightly more recent version, and that worked fine. Strange.
i also discovered,seperately, that PowerPoint for Mac would not display some graphics at all. It was either when they were PNG, or else when they had been resized quite a bit within Powerpoint.
And I still have other problems. I sometimes feel that Microsoft has delighted us for long enough.

Open Office has made a nice job of converting my powerpoint to flash as a preview option - see links one third of the way down this long page:

but it for some reason has mangled several of the graphics - slide 24, 25, and one later.
A previous version of OO did not have this problem.
Any idea why it might be happening or any way round it?
