Thanks. Yes, it diden't work for Youtube or anywhere either. Turned out (though there was no warning to say), that it needed the very very latest Flash player.
Despite older players being perfectly happy for Firefox, and indeed on a different old machine, so help us, for IE5!!
Ah well

Hi
I had a small Flash graphic on our pages. Till I found that IE7 was not displaying it, and further, was 'sticking' in trying to download it.
<param name="wmode" value="opaque"></param>
<param name=movie VALUE="http://ied.gospelcom.net/images/ieday_nodate_self.swf"></param>
<param name=quality VALUE="high"></param>
<param name=bgcolor VALUE="#ffffff"></param>
<EMBED src="http://ied.gospelcom.net/images/ieday_nodate_self.swf" quality="high" wmode="transparent" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" WIDTH="120" HEIGHT="40" NAME="ieday" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED>
</OBJECT>
This works in every other browser! I thought it could have been a lack of closing param tags, so I added those. Neither is it the wmode line, the problem remains without that.
Thanks for any ideas!
Blessings
Tony
