Self study or courses?

Hello everyone,

Just curious if anyone has taken any of the O'Reilly School of Technology courses? Or any other course for that matter? I really enjoy their books, and I thought about taking a class or two.

I'm pretty good at self-study. But I thought that taking a course might have more structure.

What are ya'lls' thoughts?

That is so subjective, lol...

Learning styles are so widely different, I'm not sure you're going to get an answer you want. It really depends on how you learn best... I grow easily bored in a structured setting, so self learning works best for me.

My wife was looking at taking

My wife was looking at taking PHP classes from O'Reilly School of Technology. They look great!!! She ended up taking a PHP class at her college, so she didn't need to take the O'Reilly classes. She did take other online classes. One of the schools she used went out of business. The other school is http://iwa-hwg.eclasses.org/ She really liked the class she took from this school and the classes are priced low.
