Having some swf issues

Ok here is my problem and I have a couple of them.

1. I am working on a project for someone and they know very little about flash, mostly nothing. I know a tiny tiny bit about flash, but they don't have any help. Pretty simple, they need to come up with a slide show to display in an airport. 1280x720 res. The format needs to be a ".swf" and this is the problem. I don't exactly know how to do a slide show in Flash alone, but I can do one using iMovie and then use Adobe Media Converter to create a .flv file, but how can I change that to a .swf?

2. The second thing has nothing to do with the above problem. I am using screen capturing software which creates the capture as a .swf, but sometimes too big for clients, readers, viewers, and users with slow internet to see. One because of slow internet, or smaller monitors. How can I take that into Flash and re-size the .swf?

Thanks for your help guys. I have been searching on Google for some type of converter instead, but have failed to find anything that works well.

SlideshowPro?

Available for Flash and Lightroom

Works really well, and if you need an admin tool, Slideshowpro Director is awesome. Self-contained buffer/preloader, and you don't "need" to know or use Flash to implement.

You're able to easily plug-in flash videos as well as images. Hope this helps.
