Font Use Tracking Software?

I have about 40 billion fonts installed. :-) Not really but its enough that Photoshop and other programs can drag.

Is there any program out there that will keep track of how often each font is used on your system over a period of time (PC/XP)?

Let me know if you can think of anything.

I've tried this...

I've tried to do this on a Mac, managing like 20,000 fonts and it constantly crashed my system so I gave up. The big name for this on windows is extensis and their suitcase products. Good luck on finding a solution that works for you!

Printer's Apprentice

You might want to take a look at Printer's Apprentice. I've used this program off and on for quite a few years, primarily to create font catalogues/samples. It won't keep track of font usage but it will allow you to remove/install/manage groups of fonts.

Hope this helps,
