I don't know of anything Joomla specific, but do any of these help?

Didn't find one in the JED...
but the best place to ask would be the Joomla forums, http://www.joomla.org/ because someone there might have one or know more about it.

Huge apologies - got so distracted the past couple of weeks, I forgot to check back here for replies. Appreciate your input, but sadly none of those suggestions work fully. The Just Giving would probably be the closest, but he really didn't want people giving money until he'd completed the ride, and while Pledgie might be more appropriate, I really wasn't keen on their website which seemed to be full of spam that hasn't been moderated. I think ultimately I'm just going to have to do this the hard way and produce a form that people can fill in manually and he can then print it off and go to the people himself for any monies owed. I've not had a lot of luck on producing forms either, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Thanks for providing the info on that as I wasn't aware of it. Sounds about the best of the bunch so far as I can link it in to the site and get people to provide their contact details first if they're interested in supporting him, and then he can send the form out to them and keep tabs which is better still, as it takes things off the site and leaves me less work to do :).
Truly appreciate all you guys for helping me out with this one - this is absolutely the BEST Christian website around in my opinion as it combines the best of all my requirements from a wonderful Christian perspective, which in no way makes the site biased and that's why I'm going to advertise it on my sites where I can.

Incredibly while I didn't find anything relating to sponsorship/pledges, what I did find was something almost more invaluable - the 24/7 com for prayer events which is precisely what I was hunting for last year but couldn't get. Haven't tried it out yet, but hopeful it will do what it says it does, as that would help me out tons when we next run ours.
Thanks so much for providing that one - was aware of it, but somehow just didn't connect with the new/in progress ones - thought it was only for those already provided on the main Joomla site. :)
Another one I'm struggling to find just now - our minister is going to do a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for the church, and I need some way of listing sponsors online and how much they want to pay if he's successful. It would preferably need to be flexible enough for people to allocate say 10p/mile (UK) and/or give a donation as well, although that's not mandatory. Another one I'm just a bit lost as to how to best set up, and unlike the 24-hr prayer event, this one is live and happening in less than a month!! I tried searching on Joomla but searching specifically for sponsorship only brought up 1 result which wasn't even remotely what I was hoping for. Anyone any ideas??
