Cdub,
That's an awesome name..
i sometimes call this place Cdub because...well...CWM...just makes sense to call it Cdub.
anyway,
I too love to design. But i don't think i get involved as much as you do...or i just don't notice the sexual "designs"
you must really have an eye for these things.
I know disney had a problem with that for a while. But most of the time all i see is bright colors and round shapes.
you can check out some of the av's i made in the base gallery.
those are fun.
Forgiven? don't worry about it bro! God has blessed you immensely. your work for him shall glorify him. this rant is a rant for the one who created us; and i'm sure he has understood you.
take care,

Hi all,
I know this doesn't apply to all my brothers and sisters here at CWM. I have something that's been on my mind for sometime. I personally am more of a designer than developer. I was actually a fine artist, then graphic designer, then web designer. With that said, I enjoy and frequently look at other designers work. Usually for inspiration or just to see the beautiful and interesting ideas others can come up with.
I've noticed with increasing regularity the use of sexual and most times pornographic images designers are incorporating into their work. Having taken several life drawing / sculpture classes in college, I understand the need to know how to recreate the human body correctly and accurately. I also know the difference between a figure study and something that's overtly sexual.
I am a relatively new Christian. My eyes have been opened to so many things that are amazing and wonderful. Praise our glorious Savior for that! They have also been opened to how this world is a corrupt and disturbing place. I don't understand the need for talented young male designers to place naked women in their designs. It's sinful to make another stumble with what you do. I'm sure seeing sexual images is a stumbling block for allot of us. I know it is for me. It definitely objectifies women. But not only these two points, it also makes the designer look incredibly bad (in my eyes and others I'm sure).
I've had to stop visiting my favorite design portal sites because of this. I hope and pray this isn't a trend that will grow in intensity. Although I think it already has.
Anyway sorry for the rant.
C
