Well the recordings will just live on. One of the goals of the site is for it to be inspirational. For example, when you leave your recording, you also get to leave a comment about what Jesus is doing in your life or what He has done.
I choose a million because I wanted to set a big goal. I plan to set some smaller milestones that are trackable on the site. The first one being 100 recordings.
In regards to negative recordings, I do have a safety check in place. All recordings have to be manually approved before they are visible on the site. Don't ask how I plan to manually approve a million recordings yet :), I'm just taking it one a time.
Unless my browser is off....everything is just black and white. This could be a good way to go but I would emphasize the contrast. I would state clearly what the purpose is. To witness to the world or collect 2 million voices. How about starting a new site called voicebook ;-) Just kidding but it would be a nice option to just click a button and speak into my microphone. I would do it but my cordless phone makes me lose my internet connection;-)
Just my $.02 worth,
J
So I thought your site was cool before but I just had time to sit down and call in to the number. That was the weirdest melding of technologies I have ever experienced. To look at a website and have it dynamically change as I call in was great. I had a very geeky moment with that. Great site and great project.
Thanks for the feedback. Simple is the goal. I didn't think about emphasizing the contrast (probably because I maxed out my design abilities :) ), but that might be a direction to go now that you mention it. Adding microphone input might be a future upgrade. I'm banking right now that the phone is more common and easier to use.
Thanks again.
Thanks, Jonathan, you are officially the first person to leave a recording (besides myself).
Check it out:

Hello all, I recently created this site (http://www.VoicesForJesus.org) . The goal was to make it as simple as possible and be self explanatory. I'm not sure if I pulled it off, so I'm looking for feedback. Keep in mind it is a first version :).
Thanks!,
Jim
