VERY nice....but...
Ahhh...yes, this is an excellent step forward. However, it's missing one key component. It needs to somehow interface with IMCE so you can upload images instead of just linking to them. It seems that the solution like this should probably be within IMCE itself, forcing someone to choose an imagecache preset. This is how Asset does it, and I think that works really well....
This is still a good idea, regardless...

On a previous show Rob talked about "control issues" related to images... this could be HUGE allowing users to add images and still have some control over them.
