A CCK Audio solution for D6
Hey guys, I think found a CCK audio solution for D6. It works for my application, and I think it will work for podcasting as well. The module recipe is FileField + jQuery media. I was only able to get it to work with the JW Media Mplayer, however, which is not the perfect solution for audio. I tried it with all the media players in the audio module, but they didn't work. If someone who knows more than me cold look into this, and see if we can get it working with the 1pixelout player, this would be great!

Good update Anthony...
For me, though, the problem isn't really getting the audio to just display on the site. I'd do it with filefield and then just manually insert an audio player, if need be.
The barrier for me is spitting out a feed with that filefield file as an enclosure...thereby giving me a podcast feed. This will be in development next week, which should go a long way to solving this problem, at least for me.

I thought maybe this could be accomplished under /admin/content/node-type/song/display/advanced, but I wasn't sure. There are options there for including the filefield in the rss feed. I was hoping feedburner would take care of the rest. I take it it's not that simple?

Could a possible solution be using the upload module and increasing the max file upload size in php.ini?

Has anyone found a solution yet. I'm about to put together a podcast using D6 and was looking at this recipe: http://drupal.org/node/276677
It's a bit 5.x related, but I think a lot of the manual template edits could be done using Contemplates RSS template output from a Views 2 RSS feed.

JQuery Media and Audio
Hey Rob,
Did you get jQuery Media and FileField to work with a player other than the JW Media Player? I've only been able to get it to work with that player, and since it's primarily a video player, it looks a little weird for audio. I't like to use the 1pixelout player, but I can't seem to get that to work. And ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Audio module for D6
I just installed the Audio module for D6, but have not tested it. Does anyone know if it's currently working?
Nope
No, audio.module doesn't work for 6. The dev version is just for 'testing' which means that it will do nothing but break your site, at this point.
