Setting up a Studio Podcast
(Some things to think about)
The studio
- This is where you record
- Should be controlled on the sound. Limited outside noise
- No fans
- Limited computer noise.
- A place not shaped like a church. They echo. Look to limit the echo.
The Mics
- When recording sermons you might use a lectern mic, a clip on mic, or something like a countryman. Not here.
- Use a good mic where possible. Maybe not in a pilot. But, if people are listening the sound quality makes a difference
- Talk about TWIT and the sound quality experience
Mic Tehniques
- be close up on the mic
- use wind screens
- look at mic placement in the room
