Ahhhh, networks. Aren't they exciting? No. Not really. But, unfortunately, these days any geek or wanna be geek should know how a computer network works and what all the lingo means (if for no other reason than to retain your geek-cred).So, on today's podcast we start our series on networking. We wanted to start with all the basics, so we decided the terminology is the most important. We talk all about: TCP/IP, DSL and Cable, Routers, 802.11 and wireless, WEP, IP Addresses, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, and FTP.
You asleep yet? Hope not....
Before chatting about all this networking stuff, we answer lots of your feedback. We talk about recording with a stand alone CD player, give advice on enabling comments in Drupal, talk about submitting podcasts to search engines, and finally try and define Content Management Systems.
MF also hits us with This Week In Geek, and we generally try and make networking sound exciting. Questions or comments on the show ? Don't forget to email us or call the G&G voicemail. We look forward to hearing from you!!

Boring?
Hey Everyone....
I was looking for some feedback on this past episode. MF and I were wondering if it's going to be interesting enough to talk about Networking for numerous weeks. Whatta ya think?
If you guys deem it lacking interesting info, we'd do at least one or two more episodes, but we'd condense some information. Was this episode too boring, or is it worthy of 3-4 weeks worth of stuff on networking?
Let us know!

Yeah it was
I would have to say it was a bit boring. Since most users really only need a wireless router hooked up to there cable modem I don't see the need to expand much more on the topic unless you have a lot of network admins listening. Just my .02

Thanks for the feedback....
Hey Jason...
Thanks for your honest feedback, and we've decided you're correct. We'll be cutting this series way down, and just doing one more episode on networking.
Then, we'll be moving onto something, hopefully, more interesting.
Thanks!
