The Geeks and God Podcast is an internet radio program with the goal of encouraging and educating Christian ministries on how to use technology and the internet to more effectively spread the gospel. But, Geeks and God is not just a podcast! It's a whole community of ministry and church leaders from around the world who help one another improve ministry technology by answering questions and offering support because of their passion to do God's work.
The podcast is almost 2 years old, now, with almost 100 episodes released over that time frame. Episode topics have ranged from Web 2.0 topics such as podcasting and blogging, to live audio and video, to graphic and print design and with the support of the amazing G&G community....we're just getting started!
The hosts of Geeks and God are ministry and technology veterans and have a heart to help any Christian ministry use technology more effectively.
Bob is 31 and has been in the media business for over 15 years. When just a teenager, he opened his first media business, a recording studio which produced dozens of local and regional records. After 10 years in the audio business, Bob was drawn away from rock n' roll to full time ministry. He worked as a media producer and worship coordinator at a new Gen-X style church for 3 years.
After seeing the huge need that many churches had for high quality media at affordable prices, Bob stepped out and started Mustardseed Media a company that specializes in new-media design for Christian churches and ministries.
Bob is a new daddy and proud husband...and is psyched to be able to share his gifts and experience with Churches around the world through Geeks & God and through this upcoming conference.
Oh, and don't get confused...for some reason Bob goes by the pseudonym "Rob Feature" on the podcast. Ask him about it at the conference...
